lGamma Sigma Sigma is a service based sorority that was evolved from the members of the Drexel Institute of Technology.  With the help of Boston University and New York University, a Constitutional Convention was scheduled to establish formal ties and form a National Service Sorority.

lRepresentatives attending the convention included members of eight collegiate institutions.  These Included: Boston University, Brooklyn College, Drexel Institute of Technology, Los Angeles City College, New York University, Queens College, University of Houston, and Miami University of Ohio.

lThe date commemorating the Constitutional Convention, October 12, 1952, is designated as Founder’s Day for our Sorority.

Based off the principles, "Unity in Service," Gamma Sigma Sigma has made a commitment to community service for over 50 years.
